Training at WUTRA is diverse and engaging. During your commercial or technical training, you’ll rotate through various departments. This will give you a comprehensive understanding of different work processes and a thorough knowledge of our products.
Are you fascinated by technology? Do you have a knack for craftsmanship or a keen interest in business? Seize this opportunity to undertake solid practical vocational training with WUTRA.
What Does a Construction Mechanic Do?
Construction mechanics create a diverse range of steel and sheet metal constructions. At WUTRA, for instance, they fabricate screw conveyors. Why not take a look at our products?
The process begins with the manufacturing of individual parts. This involves cutting, bending, forming, and mechanically processing sheet metal using a variety of machines and technical equipment.
Profiles and pipes are also utilized. Round steel is cut to length and machined in our turning shop to produce drive and tail shafts. Once the individual components are ready, they are welded and bolted together to assemble modules.
In the final assembly stage, these parts and modules are assembled into complete pieces of machinery. After conducting functional checks, the products are prepared for shipping.
At the client’s site, our machinery must be installed and regularly serviced, which is also a part of the construction mechanic’s role.
Everything is based on technical drawings that guide the construction mechanic in understanding what the individual parts, modules, and finished machinery should look like, enabling them to plan all necessary work steps accordingly.
During your training, you’ll learn how to interpret plans, drawings, and parts lists. You’ll be taught how to fabricate components both manually and via mechanical processes. We’ll guide you through setting up machines and the preparatory steps necessary for successful component assembly.
What Do We Offer?
We provide comprehensive practical training across our diverse teams. You’ll learn about building complete machines from the first piece of sheet metal to the final screw, gaining insights into the broad and exciting field of sheet metal processing and metalworking.
You can definitely look forward to an exciting and varied apprenticeship! Once you’ve passed your exams, you’ll likely be offered a permanent position with WUTRA.
The dual study program combines theoretical studies at Berufsakademie Sachsen in Riesa with practical work at WUTRA.
